Ingredients
  

  • 20 oz can pineapple tidbits with juice, do not drain
  • 21 oz can cherry pie filling
  • 15.25 oz box yellow cake mix use dry, do not prepare
  • 0.5 cup butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Dump the can of pineapple tidbits (with juice) into the baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Spoon the cherry pie filling over the pineapple in an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.
  • Gently press down the cake mix with the back of a spoon to ensure even baking.
  • Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let the cake cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
  • Do not stir the ingredients together before baking to maintain distinct layers.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
