Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¾ teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup cornmeal

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the egg, egg yolk, honey, vanilla extract, and butter flavoring. Mix until combined.
  • Gradually add the flour and cornmeal, stirring until the dough forms.
  • Scoop the dough into 2.5-ounce portions and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Be sure not to overbake the cookies for the best texture.
  • These cookies can be paired with milk, coffee, or even chocolate or caramel sauces for extra flavor.
